The problem
Microplastics in agricultural soil come from contaminated irrigation water and biosolids, decomposed mulch film, equipment wear, and airborne deposition. They accumulate because they don’t break down on their own, putting soil resilience, crop quality, and yield at risk.
Our solution
Selion is developing a fungi-based soil amendment that degrades microplastics through enzymatic reactions directly in the soil. It fits into existing farm inputs—no new equipment, no operational changes.
